Description: The Innovation Pathways Minor (IPM) is planned to pilot in Fall 2017, and be officially established in Fall 2018. This presentation will describe what the IPM is, share some of the experiences from current IPM classes, share education research being done in IPM classes, and help recruit students to IPM classes in the Fall.
Speaker Bios: Chris Gewirtz - "I'm an Engineering Education graduate student at Virginia Tech. I think being able to help expand the problem solving capacity of engineering is the most significant impact I’ll ever have a chance at being a part of. The following ideas fall under "my interests": humanitarian engineering, tolerance of uncertainty, engineering with community - instead of for industry, critical reflection, social justice, innovation education."
